Judith Vélez
General Manager
In 2001, Judith founded Nómade Producciones and moved ahead with her Opera Prima,
La Prueba. At the same time she organized a documentary film festival, Cine de lo Real,
that introduced - for the first time to Peru and Bolivia - the best documentaries from
Europe and USA. In August 2006 was the release of La Prueba, awarded at the Verona
Film Festival and the Santa Cruz Film Festival. In 2009 Nómade Producciones
became Nómade Films.
As a director Judith has assumed projects that have allowed her to shoot all over the
region, as well as Europe, USA and Japan. Some titles: Sarita, Hombres de este Siglo, El
Sonido de la Huaca, Tinkuy, Seis con Ocho, Libérenlos Ya!, 1509 Operación Victoria.
As Managing Director of Nómade Films, she has gained the trust of international
production companies and with them has produced documentary series such as: Guns,
Germs & Steel; Lima Siege; Locked Up Abroad; Ventre des femmes; Coca, Terror and
the Inca Uprising; Nazca Lines; Informants, etc. for NAT GEO, Discovery, Art France,
Art Germany, among others.
Along with loyal professional collaborators she has consolidated a prestige in high-
quality documentary productions, and is committed to increasing and strengthening
the relationship with international broadcasters that would allow the arrival of more
productions to Peru and Latin America. |
Marco AraucoCameraman / photographerSince 2008, Marco has been part of Nómade Films, as a director of photography for
Libérenlos Ya!, documentary, and would continue with 1509 Operación Victoria &
Informantes.
Marco Arauco, was also a collaborator with the best local television projects produced by
Plus TV Channel. Some titles: Tiempo de Viaje, Los Colores de la Fé & Jammin.
His strong visual style singles him out as one of the best photographer/cameramen of his
generation. |

Roberto Benavides
Editor Roberto began working with Nómade Films in 2005, editing the full-length film titled La Prueba. Since then, he became the editor of all our projects. His career began as the editor of Josué Méndez's debut titled Días de Santiago, best Peruvian movie of 2003 awarded in Montreal, Havana and BAFICI.
Other credits: Muero por Muriel, El país de los Saxos, Mariposa Negra, nominated at the Goya Award in 2007, and his latest “Contracorriente” , Audience Award at Sundance and San Sebastian in 2010. He also was the editor coordinator at the San Antonio de los Baños Cinema School - Cuba. |

Rosa Maria Oliart
Sound DesigneRosa Maria has collaborated with Nómade Films since 1998 with the 4-hour TV series:
People of the Century. She got her start with Sintonía, De Huamanga somos and La
ciudad perdida produced by UNICEF. In 1992 she moved into the full-length film, Alias
La gringa, and since then, she has developed her skills as a sound designer.
Other credits as a sound designer include feature films such as Una sombra al frente, La
Prueba, Postales de Leningrado, Paloma de papel, El ritmo blanco de la noche and La
Memoria Ancestral.
Currently, she is Director of the Peruvian National Film Council, and a professor of
sound at the Universidad de Lima.

Dino Gervasoni
Sound Engineer – MIX 5.1 Dino started working with Nómade Films on 1509 Operación Victoria, in charge of
the 5.1 and stereo mix. He began his career at Canal N, after which he moved to Italy.
There he worked as a sound engineer on projects such as Story of a Mother, Buon
Compleanno Max and Inside, and in a number of videos for 341 Production (Bergamo,
Italy).
In 2009, he was back in Lima and collaborated on the animated film, The Dolphin and
Story of a Dreamer produced by Dolphin Films & Fox International. |

Jovita Andrade
Producer / Director
Base in Paris/France Producer and director of documentaries, she is our coordinator in Paris/France.
She has produced and directed: The land of the Chachapoyas children (2003) and Memories of an Afroperuvian (2009), awarded at the Trieste Film Festival, actually is finishing the documentary, "Behind the footprints of Gianina Lanata".
And since 2004 she has directed the Peruvian Film Festival in Paris. |
